their IP address and end up with 404 error code, try to use this method.
If
you end up with 404 error, this may be due to the location of the web server
changes before the entry in your DNS cache updates, so you can no longer access
the site.
If
you encounter a number of HTML 404 error codes, you may need to clear your DNS
cache. This activity will clear your DNS cache so your computer will query
nameservers for the new DNS information.
How
to clear DNS cache on Windows PC
This
method will allow you to remove old and inaccurate DNS information that may
result in 404 errors. It works on Windows XP, 2000, Vista®, Windows 7 and
Windows® 8.
On
Windows XP, 2000 and Vista®: Find command prompt icon and double click on it.
On
Windows 7 and Windows® 8: Find command prompt icon, right-click and “Run as
administrator”.
Run
the following command:
ipconfig
/flushdns
If
the command succeeds, the system returns the following message:
On
Windows 7 and Windows® 8:
Windows
IP configuration successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.
Now
you have successfully clear the DNS cache, you may visit the website again
using their IP address.
