iOS 11 means your phone will never be full again
There's nothing worse than trying to download the newest app you're excited about, and finding out that you're out of storage space. Luckily, iOS 11 comes with a handy feature that makes clearing out your device a breeze. Here's how to use it.
First, you'll need to have downloaded iOS 11. Go do that if you haven't. It's pretty neat.
Next, navigate to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. Here, you'll see exactly how much space is being taken up by all the media on your phone: Apps, Photos, Media (songs and videos), and everything else.
Take a look at your phone's recommendations (listed below the storage meter) and press Enable on the ones you want.
Allowing your phone to offload unused apps and delete old messages can clear up a lot of space on your phone, and if you re-download the apps in the future, your data will be saved.
Under your recommendations, you'll see a list of your apps and how much space each one is taking up. By clicking the apps individually, you'll be able to edit and delete their data.
Clearing up storage space won't take you more than five minutes, but it'll be a lifesaver the next time you need to download quickly. Set it up, and never miss an update again!
